Our story begins in 1980, in a small workshop in Jiashan. The first sewing machines on the floor were the workers' own — foot-pedal machines they had been given as their wedding dowries, carried in from home. Each machine was a family's commitment to the craft. There was no scale, no auto-template. There were a few pairs of hands and the simple intention to make the garment right. The women on the floor didn't speak foreign languages, but they understood the work: the stitch line straight, the spacing even, the inside of the seam as clean as the outside. Making a garment wasn't doing a job. It was trading craft for trust.
"Care put into every stitch; quality in every piece" — this belief, carried from the first generation, has never broken.
The years moved fast. Foot-pedal machines became electric; electric machines became automated. The young workers became the master craftspeople, who in turn brought up the next generation. The equipment changed, the technique changed — but the respect for every stitch did not.
Forty-six years on, the workshop has grown into a full-category export manufacturer. Our garments now reach clients across the world. But however far they travel, we never forget: each shipment is a trust placed in us.
This is Wanyuan. From one foot-pedal sewing machine, forty-six years of doing one thing — and doing it well.
